Merewether has become a surrogate spiritual home for me. It has everything you could ever want from a beachside location. A fantastic beach, a wonderful pool, excellent dining and a great meeting place. This is my favourite spot in Newcastle!

The secluded Glenrock State reserve, Burwood Beach and Dudley Beach are isolated, hidden gems in Newcastle.
Redhead
Just South of Newcastle lies the magnificent Redhead beach. White sand stretches South as far as the eye can see. The ever present shark tower is a Newcastle icon that has weathered all nature could throw at it.
Belmont to Catherine Hill Bay
South of Newcastle lie Belmont, Swansea, Caves Beach and Catherine Hill Bay. Some of these areas take in both Lake Macquarie and the Ocean. It's a wonderful area for exploring and discovering new spots!
Warners Bay
Peacefully nestled on the shore of Lake Macquarie is the suburb of Warners Bay. Always worth a visit and a walk along the path to Speers Point...not to mention great dining on the foreshore!
